![]() I’m either lucky, or the Ceramic Shield does a good job at minimizing damage. And despite happening more than once, the other times never resulted in a scratched screen. I recall these situations specifically, but they weren’t unique. I felt the scratch happening when I took the phone out, yet it’s not something I can feel. One of the longer scratches down the side of the screen was definitely caused by the camera module on another phone when the two were placed against each other in my bag (again, accidentally) and then carelessly pulled out. It was only a few weeks into owning the iPhone 13 Pro when I was still quite precious about how it looked, hence noticing it immediately. It was shaken around for some time before it was removed, and that’s when I noticed the scuffs. I had put the phone in my bag, and instead of slipping it into a separate pocket, I accidentally put it in the main compartment with my house keys and various other objects. I know how the scuffs at the bottom of the screen happened, which also gives an indication of how effective Ceramic Shield is at resisting harm in common situations. None of the other scratches can be felt, and I only ever notice them with the screen off and when light is reflecting on the glass. It’s at the very bottom of the screen and appears to be more of a scuff than a scratch when viewed under the light. The iPhone 13 Pro’s screen has gotten scratched, but crucially I can only feel one of them, and only when I use my nail. 1rJy4MpBcKĭo I regret not putting a screen protector on the iPhone 13 Pro, or has Ceramic Shield glass done a good job at keeping it free from scratches and scuffs? You can see in the short video above how it has performed, but understanding its effectiveness is more than just seeing if you can spot scratches on the surface. ![]() I can only feel one scratch (and then only with my fingernail), and none can be seen with the screen on. This is my iPhone 13 Pro's screen after a year of use without a screen protector, so you can see how Ceramic Shield has worked to keep it free from harm. I’ve had the phone in different cases over the year, but not all provided a bezel to raise the phone off the surface if placed screen down. I haven’t babied the phone during this time, it has been kept in my pocket, put in various bags, left on tables, and just generally used-but-not-abused. Since my own iPhone 13 Pro arrived on launch day in 2021, I have used it without a screen protector. Instead, how about everyday life with it? While they certainly put the glass through its paces, hopefully, your own phone never has to withstand such harsh treatment. Now you know what it is, what about how it has performed? There are already various, and quite destructive, examples of breaking Ceramic Shield glass out there. What Ceramic Shield looks like one year later When it was introduced on the iPhone 12, Apple said Ceramic Glass was tougher than any smartphone glass and “goes beyond glass by adding a new high-temperature crystallization step that grows nano-ceramic crystals within the glass matrix, increasing drop performance by 4x.” This was compared to previous iPhone models, which didn’t use Ceramic Glass. I put the iPhone’s Dynamic Island on my Pixel 7 Pro - and I can’t go backĥ things the iPhone 15 Pro Max needs to fix before I’ll buy it It provides a complete and crystal-clear view of your screen and comes in FSC™-certified packaging that can be recycled.Apple finally fixed my biggest problem with the iPhone 14 Pro Max The Ultra-Wide Fit screen protector covers the entire front surface of your phone, while still leaving room for a case. This may not happen, but if it does, you’ll regret not having clicked “add to cart”. ![]() And once it’s installed, you’ll never again fear the sight of your phone tumbling to the ground. The screen protector comes with an EasyAligner that makes installation so simple you can do it perfectly on the first attempt… even if you’re all thumbs. It even has a smudge-free coating with antibacterial effect that reduces traces of fingerprints and kills up to 99.99% of all common surface bacteria. ![]() The specially designed privacy filter renders the content of your screen virtually invisible to everyone except you.Īccidental bumps against sharp-edged dangers in your pocket or crushing falls onto stone-hard pavements are also no match for this scratch and shock-resistant screen protector, which provides high-level drop protection. Select the Most Effective Primary Supporting Points for a Thesis StatementĪfter you have prewritten about your working thesis statement, you may have generated a lot of information, which may be edited out later. After prewriting, you are then able to look back at the information and choose the most compelling pieces you will use in your body paragraphs. Stemming from each point, you further provide details to support those reasons. Recall that when you prewrite you essentially make a list of examples or reasons why you support your stance. Prewrite to Identify Primary Supporting Points for a Thesis Statement Using detailed support shows readers that you have considered all the facts and chosen only the most precise details to enhance your point of view. The body paragraphs are where you develop the discussion that a thorough essay requires. Choose your examples wisely by making sure they directly connect to your thesis.īe detailed. Your primary supporting points are further supported by supporting details within the paragraphs. Each point you choose will be incorporated into the topic sentence for each body paragraph you write. It is the most important information you select to argue for your point of view. Primary support can be described as the major points you choose to expand on your thesis. Without primary support, your argument is not likely to be convincing. Before you begin to support your thesis in the body, you must find information from a variety of sources that support and give credit to what you are trying to prove. The body paragraphs present the evidence you have gathered to confirm your thesis. The reader should be able to predict what follows your introductory paragraph by simply reading the thesis statement. If your thesis gives the reader a road map to your essay, then body paragraphs should closely follow that map. As much as you may be wanting to just get your ideas down and submit your paper, in order to make sure you are submitting a well-developed and strong essay, you need to make sure you are providing strong supporting ideas, developing paragraphs so they will fit together logically to best convince your reader, creating a strong introduction and conclusion, and revising your paper to catch issues you may have missed or not been aware of when writing. In this chapter, we will look at putting the pieces together to form a complete, revised, and supported expository essay, which you will need to submit next week. Once you have completed your formal sentence outline, you will need to expand on that framework to create your expository essay.
